What is the eligibility for UGC NET after PGDM?

Yes, Students who have completed PGDM programme from an AICTE approved institute and have been awarded the diploma are considered to be equivalent with the Master’s degree of recognized Indian universities from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi; are eligible to apply for UGC NET examination.

Can I appear for NET Exams after MBA?

UGC NET stands for National Eligibility Test; it is a national level eligibility test that screens candidates for recruitment in government colleges at the post of assistant professors and research assistants. The minimum academic eligibility for UGC NET exam is post-graduation with minimum 55% marks. MBA being a post graduate degree, you are surely eligible to appear for UGC NET Exam.

However, in the case of PGDM programmes, the eligibility criteria for UGC NET are a bit different. Diploma degrees that are awarded by AICTE approved institutes and which are considered as equivalent to Master’s degree offered by any recognized Indian universities from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi; are only eligible to apply for UGC NET examination. Therefore, please check if your PGDM degree meets the aforementioned criteria before applying.
