National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW), an autonomous Institute funded by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, is an apex Technical Institute for promoting Health and Family Welfare Programs in the country through Education and Training, Research and Evaluation, Consultancy, Advisory and Specialized Services.

NIHFW issued notification inviting applications for recruitment to 12 posts on regular basis. Interested candidates should send their applications till 10 September 2013

Desirable: Experience of conducting studies in the fields of Health and Family Welfare.

Master’s Degree preferably in Science or Social Science or equivalent + Degree in Library Science or equivalent + 3 years experience in a Library / Documentation Centre of repute.

Desirable: Master’s degree in Library & Information Science or equivalent + Experience in organizing, acquisition and technical processing work in a Library / Documentation Centre of repute.

Nursing Superintendent

B.Sc. (Nursing) or Diploma in Nursing Administration or equivalent. Candidate should be Registered as an 'A' Grade Nurse with a State Nursing Council after obtaining a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery + 8 years experience in the profession.

Desirable: M. Sc. (Nursing) or equivalent.

Desirable: Experience of working in the field of fertility control, infertility & reproductive disorders.

Matriculation or equivalent + English Shorthand at a speed of 120 wpm + English typewriting at a speed of 40 wpm.

Degree or equivalent + 3 years' experience in Administration in a Government Department or Institution / Organization of repute.

Age will be reckoned as on 1 July 2013.

Selection Procedure: Selection will be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in the Interview.

However, the Institute may, at its discretion, conduct Interview / written test / skill test for all/any of the above posts for selection of candidates.

Application fees: Non-refundable application fees of Rs. 300 have to be paid through a crossed Indian Postal Order / Demand Draft drawn in favor of ‘Director, National Institute of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi’ payable at New Delhi.

SC, ST, PH, female and Departmental candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.
