Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the second phase of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test on 24 July 2016 through various examination centres across the country. The Phase II examination of NEET will be entrance test for admission of medical aspirants in MBBS and BDS courses in various government educational institutes.
According to the latest statement issued by CBSE, it stated, “As per the orders of the Supreme Court of India on NEET and the Ordinance promulgated by the government, CBSE will conduct NEET II on 24 July 2016. June 25, 2016, is the last date for the submission of application. All the desirous candidates are informed to apply online for the same within the due time limit.”
The CBSE notified in the statement to keep checking the official website of NEET for further updates regarding the examination dates, centres and issuance of admit cards. The candidates must keep track of the updates uploaded on the website, so that they can take necessary actions as per instructions as and when required. The candidates will not be provided with additional time for completing the process and hence they must remain aware of the important dates issued in the website.
The NEET phase I was conducted on 1 May, 2016 as part of the AIPMT examinations through examination centres across the country. The Supreme Court directive had made NEET mandatory for the students in its verdict, in order to secure medical admission in medical education institutes in the country. Later, the central government presented an amendment, which got approved by the President , keeping some of the states out of the purview of NEET for this year.
