Putting regional biases as a major issue, Janata Dal (United) JD (U) party demanded UPPSC to allot exam centres in Ghaziabad or Meerut for the state civil services main examination. JD (U) has appealed to Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to look into the matter and provide the exam centers in the mentioned places that will help the appearing students to concentrate more on preparation with availability of extra time.
According to JD (U) spokesperson K C Tyagi, “JD (U) strongly criticises the regional bias shown towards western UP and strongly demands from UPPSC that a centre for Mains exam should be provided either in Ghaziabad or Meerut”.
As for now, the dates of the UPPSC main examinations have been declared on 05 November 2014. Providing the new centres will help the students of western UP to save their time on travelling and also will lessen the expenses in renting a place to stay in different city.
