Getting huge number of entries in each of their expression series topics, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to carry forward the programme and included Expression Series in veteran BJP leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The board announced that the next expression series will be a tribute to the former prime minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The series will be organized by the CBSE on 18 and 19 December 2015. Previously the board had organized the series on Madan Mohan Malawiya, APJ Abdul Kalam and other eminent personalities, who have contributed significantly in the freedom fight for India.
As part of the Expression Series the students from the schools under the administration of CBSE will have to write essays, poems and drawings. There are various topics given to the students covering different aspects of the life of the leader. The students of the schools have been categorized into three categories: Class I to V, Class Vi to VIII and Class IX to XII. The topics for each of the groups differ accordingly. The entries could either be submitted in English or the other 22 scheduled regional languages. The students interested to take part can submit their entries directly to the online official website of CBSE www.cbseacademic.in or submit to their respective schools. The schools would then send the entries of the students mentioning the class and name of the student. Candidates posting their entries through email would not be considered for the competition.
Each participant would get a certificate of participation and the 36 best entries would get a cash award of Rs. 2500/- and a certificate of merit. The selection of the winners would be made based on the originality of the content and creative expression by the students. The articles, essays, poems should be plagiarism free to be eligible for consideration in the competition.
