The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct next UGC-NET for Assistant Professor and for Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor both in June 2019. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct next UGC-NET for ‘Assistant Professor’ and for ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor both’ in June 2019. The exam will be conducted on 20th, 21st, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th and 28th June 2019 for various subjects at selected Examination Centers spread across the country.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has entrusted the responsibility of conducting UGC-NET to the NTA established by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India (GOI). UGC NET is a test being conducted to determine the eligibility ‘only for Assistant Professor’ and ‘for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor both’ in Indian Universities and Colleges.

The test will consist of two papers. Both the papers will be conducted in single three hour duration. The UGC-NET, June 2019 will be based on the new Syllabi, as available on the website of UGC-NET www.ugcnetonline.in.

Last Year, NTA first time conducted the UGC NET December 2018 Exam from 18th Dec, 2018 to 22nd Dec, 2018 in two shifts per day across 235 cities in the country. The examination was conducted in 85 subjects. A total number of 956837 candidates registered for this examination. There were 598 examination centres across the country. A total number of 742 Observers, 295 City Coordinators and 24 State Coordinators were deputed at these centres to oversee the smooth and fair conduct of examination. The results were declared on 5th January, 2019.
