Details of Post
Junior Motor Vehicle Inspector (JVMI): 17 Posts
• Educational Qualification: The candidate in order to be eligible for appearing in the said examination for the post must have passed (i) the High school certificate Examination or equivalent examination from a recognized institution. (ii)The Diploma Course in Automobile Engineering (3 years course) or the Diploma course in Mechanical Engineering awarded by the State Council of Technical Education (3 years course) or such other course declared equivalent to either of the above disciplines by the Central government or the State Govt.
• Age limit: 18-32 years
Rs.9,300-34,800/- Grade Pay Rs.4200/-
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis written examination which will be followed by an interview.
The written Examination would comprise of three papers having all objective type questions with multiple choice of answers.
Paper-I - Language proficiency (both Odia & English) and General Knowledge - 50 marks – 1 hour
Paper-Il — Vehicle maintenance, pollution Standards. Motor vehicle laws and road safety rules - 50 marks - 1 hour
Paper-Ill — Automobile Engineering 100 marks - 2hour. Total Written Marks- 200 Marks
Interview will carry 25 marks.
