Online Registration Process for Central Teacher Eligibility Test, November 2012

With the Central Board of Secondary Education all set to conduct the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on 18 November 2012, it is imperative for all the CTET aspirants to know the online procedure and the structure of the examination, but before we get into the physics of it, Jagran Josh would want to talk about CTET itself and what is it in actuality.

Central Teacher Eligibility Test popularly known as the CTET, is an eligibility test for the recruitment of Teachers in Schools of the Central Government, unaided private schools, and schools owned and managed by the State Government/local bodies and aided schools.

The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi.

The CTET examination will be of objective type, multiple choice questions , The good thing about this examination is that there is no negative marking in the examination. The examination is generally divided into two papers.

•    Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
•    Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
•    For someone who wants to teach both the class brackets, he/she needs to take both the tests.

Online Application CTET November 2012

Aspirants for CTET November 2012 need to apply via the online application by accessing the Board’s website. The candidate should supply all details while filling up the online form.

Candidates are then required to take a print out of the computer generated Application form/ Confirmation page after successful submission of data and send it to CBSE, CTET Unit, after affixing a passport size photograph and signature in the space provided, in an envelope of size 12”x9” super scribed in bold letters “APPLICATION FOR CTET-NOV 2012” by Registered/Speed Post.

In order to apply online for The CTET, the candidate needs to have the following education qualifications

Educational Qualification: Primary Stage (for Classes I-V)

•    Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
•    Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.  OR
•    Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
•    Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
•    Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
 
Educational Qualification: Elementary Stage (for Classes VI-VIII)

•    Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
•    Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
•    Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
•    Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
•    Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year BA/ BSc.Ed or BA. Ed/BSc.Ed. OR
•    Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)
