Business conglomerate Piramal Enterprises has inaugrated Piramal School of Leadership (PSL) at Bagar in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan, as a part of its philanthropy activity.
The Piramal School of Leadership (PSL) aims to offer ’Principal Leadership Development Program’ of 3 years duration, to sharpen leadership skills and relevant knowledge in the headmasters of government schools, which in turn would impact school’s standard of education and elevate quality of teaching.
The statement released by Piramal Foundation informed that Piramal School of Leadership shall provide headmaster’s with a masters' degree in the areas of education leadership, district education management, coaching for school improvement, instructional design, educational assessment and policy design, after the completion of course.
During the inauguration, Piramal Enterprises Chairman Ajay Piramal told that the concept of launching such a school was inspired by one of the Swami Vivekanda's quotes, 'Give me few men and women who are pure and selfless and I shall shake the world."
The leadership development program would facilitate headmasters’ progression on 4 leadership levels which may be - personal, instructional, organizational and social. This will enhance the proficiencies of headmasters and will instill leadership qualities in them, said Ajay Piramal.
Paresh Parasnis, head of Piramal Foundation informed that the training will be offered to the headmasters falling in 50 below age group. Their training would encompass managing of the complete operations of the school, including the directives of the Right to Education Act.
