Moving a step ahead in reforming the education sector of the nation, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has launched a teacher education portal- Prashikshak in collaboration with CSF India. The portal will be of immense help to the District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs).
Prashikshak is an IT initiative of the MHRD which would have a database of teacher education institutes along with performance indicators. It will be of pivotal importance for the teachers, pre-service educators, DIET faculties, Principals, education policy makers at various levels District/ State/ National and also to the general public.
MHRD has launched the Prashikshak in order to help the DIETs in making decisions, comparing to other DIETs of the State and even country. This will also help the teachers and the aspiring ones in deciding about their joining institutes.
The launch event of Prashikshak was graced by noted dignitaries: Minister of State for HRD School Education & Literacy, Minister of State for HRD Higher Education and State Ministers of Education, Directors of SCERTs, representatives of NCERT, NUEPA and NCTE.
