What are the selection criteria for Punjab Police Constable Recruitment 2021?
A total of 4358 Vacancies for Constable (District Cadre). The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of a Written Exam and Physical Test. The application process was started on 16 July and ended on 22 August 2021.
What are the documents required during Document Security?
Candidates shall be required to bring the following certificates in original along with one self-attested copy of each document:
- Matriculation certificate for proof of age.
- 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Education Board/ University.
- Proof of having passed Punjabi at Matriculation level or equivalent
- Certificate, issued by the Competent Authority, to support a claim for reserved category if any.
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Head of Department/Office concerned, in case of candidates, who are serving government employees.
Physical Management Standards
For being eligible for the post of Constable in District Police Cadre and Armed Police Cadre, the minimum height required for male candidates is 5 feet 7 inches and for female candidates is 5 feet 2 inches. The candidates who are found to be of or above the required minimum height shall be eligible for the Physical Screening Test (PST).
Physical Screening Test
The Physical Screening Test (PST) shall be qualifying in nature, and shall comprise of the following events:
- For Male Candidates (excluding ex-servicemen): 1600 Meters Race to be completed in 6 minutes 30 seconds (only one chance); Long Jump 3.80 Meters (3 chances); High Jump 1.10 Meters (3 chances).
- For Male Candidates (ExServicemen of age upto and including 35 years): 1400 Meters Walk and Run to be completed in 9 minutes. (only one chance); 10 Full Squats. (only one chance).
- For Male Candidates (ExServicemen of age more than 35 years): 1400 Meters Walk and Run to be completed in 12 minutes. (only one chance); 10 Full Squats. (only one chance).
- For Female Candidates (excluding ex-servicemen): 800 Meters Race to be completed in 4 minutes and 30 seconds. (only one chance); Long Jump 3.00 Meters. (3 chances); High Jump 0.95 Meters. (3 chances).
- For Female Candidates ExServicemen of age less than and equal to 35 years: 800 meters run to be completed in 5 minutes (only one chance); Long Jump 2.75 meters (3 chances); High Jump 0.90 meters (3 chances).
- For Female Candidates ExServicemen of age more than 35 years: 800 meters run to be completed in 06 minutes (only one chance).
