Q. Write the definition of Kohlrausch law of independent migration of ions.
Ans.
Kohlrausch law of independent migration of ions: The law states that limiting molar conductivity of an electrolyte can be represented as the sum of the individual contributions of the anion and cation of the electrolyte.
Q. Chloroacetic acid is strongest acid than acetic acid give one reason.
Ans.
In chloroacetic acid inductive effect due to the presence of chlorine group increases the polarity of hydroxide bond and thus makes it more acidic as compared to acetic acid.
Rajasthan Board Class 12 Physics Solved Question Paper 2017
Q. (A) Give two examples of biodegradable polymer.
(B) Give the name of both monomers used in formation of terylene.
Ans.
(A) A few examples of biodegradable polymers are polyglycolic acid(PGA), Polyhydroxy butyrate (PHB), Polyhydroxy butyrates-co-beta hydroxyl valerate( PHBV) and Nylon-2-nylon-6.
(B) Monomers of terylene are Terephthalic acid (1, 4 benzene dicarboxylic acid) and ethylene glycol (1, 2 ethanediol).
Q. 1. (a) Which type of emulsion is 'Vanishing cream'. Write its appropriate name.
(b) Draw neat and labeled diagram of above emulsion.
2. (a) What is shape selective catalysis?
(b) Write the name of adsorbent used in following –
(i) To remove colouring matter from solution. (ii) In gas mask.
Ans.
1. (a) Vanishing cream is an emulsion with oil in dispersed phase and water in dispersion medium. So, it is a liquid-liquid colloidal solution. Its appropriate name can be ‘oil in water.’
(b) Diagram of vanishing cream:
2. (a) A catalytic reaction which depends on the pore size of the catalyst and also on the shape and size of the reactant and product molecules is termed as shape selective catalysis.
(b) (i) Animal Charcoal is used to remove the colouring matter from solution by adsorbing coloured impurities
(ii) Activated charcoal or mixture of adsorbents is used in gas mask.
