Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has introduced Research Internship Scheme, which provides opportunity to candidates to pursue PH.D internships in Economics, banking, finance, and related fields. The Selection for candidates for the Research Internship Scheme will be done twice a year starting from 01 January and 1 July every year. Candidate will be shortlisted by the Reserve Bank based on the CV, references, and statement of purpose and Personal Interview.
According to RBI press release, the intern would assist and collaborate with Reserve Bank researchers on projects to provide policy inputs and papers targeted for publication at quality economics and finance journals. The intern responsibilities will include compiling accurate and timely data and help with the relevant analytical statistical and econometric tools and writing research and policy articles of appropriate quality.
Eligibility for Research Internship: candidate should have completed 03 years degree programme with 01 year of postgraduate degree/diploma or 04 years integrated courses.
There will be maximum 10 internship posts and internship programme will be of 06 months duration extendable to another 06 Months.
