RPSC full commission to take decision on RAS result delay

Nov 29, 2014 18:18 IST

Ajmer: Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) called a full commission meeting on Monday to decide their course of action after the Rajasthan High Court cancelled the results of Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) main exam – 2012.

The commission will decide either to challenge the order of the single bench before the division bench of the high court on the legal terms of scaling or go to the
Supreme Court under Special Leave Petition to bring a decided system on such exams.

Sources said that after regularly remaining in controversy and having R D Saini as acting chairman, the commission will not take the risk of getting into a legal battle on this issue and the commission will prepare a programme to announce fresh result of RAS - 2012 in the time-frame decided by the court.

RPSC had already cancelled the results of RAS preliminary examination - 2013 which was announced on June 11 and afterwards recruitment of LDC examination was also cancelled after the intervention of the court.

Though candidates who were not selected because of the scaling method of RPSC are relieved due to High Court’s decision and are hoping to make it to the list while those candidates who were already declared passed in scaling method are fearful of being dropped.
