SBI PO Prelims result 2016 is going to be declared on 18 July at sbi.co.in. Candidates who have appeared for the SBI PO Examination 2016 will be able to check their result and eligibility for the SBI PO Main Exam 2016 towards the selection on 2200 posts of 2200 Probationary Officers.
State Bank of India (SBI) had conducted the preliminary online examination for Probationary Officer (PO) post. The prelims exam was a part of the selection process for recruitment to 2200 PO posts. The examination was held on 02, 03, 09 and 10 July 2016.
As per the latest update released by the Bank the SBI PO prelims result 2016 will be declared on 18 July.
The SBI PO prelims exam 2016 comprised of 100 questions totaling to 100 marks. The examination was of 01 hour duration and was held online. Questions covered aptitude test, reasoning ability and English language. Only those candidates who qualify the preliminary examination are eligible to appear for the Main examination. Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer. Immediately after completion of Objective Test, Descriptive Test will be administered. Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests in order to be shortlisted for the Main Examination by securing passing marks to be decided by the Bank. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination will not be added for selection. The marks obtained in Main Examination will be added to the marks obtained in GD & Interview for the final selection.
SBI had invited applications from eligible graduates for recruitment to 2200 posts of Probationary Officers via advertisement no CRPD/PO/2016-17/02. Applications were invited till 30 May 2016.
State Bank of India conducts written/ online examination (prelims and main) followed by interview for recruitment to PO, clerk, SO and specialist cadre officer posts. The Bank notifies of the vacancy and conducts these examinations round the year.
