    1. Visit the official website for Department of Empowerment of persons with Disabilities Scholarships 2018 i.e. scholarships.gov.in
    2. Click on the Department of Empowerment of persons with Disabilities under Central Scholarship Scheme or go to the direct link provided for each scholarship category i.e. Pre-matric, Post-matric and Top level education
    3. For fresh scholarship application, click on new applicant registration, read the instruction and click on continue
    4. Fill basic details like name, category for scholarship, date of birth, e-mail id, valid mobile number, identification details, and bank account details.
    5. Enter the verification code and click on register. A user application id will be generated which can be used to login and complete the application procedure.

    Pre-Matric Scholarships by Department of Empowerment of persons with Disabilities Scholarships 2018

    Class level – Class 9th and Class 10th

    Last date – September 30, 2018

    Eligibility – Students should be studying in Class 9th and Class 10th as a regular student to be eligible for Pre-Matric Scholarships for students with disabilities.

    • Students with more than 40% disability and having a valid certificate of disability are eligible for pre-matric scholarships for students with disabilities.
    • Not more than one child of same parents can avail for this scholarship, unless both children are twins and disabled.  
    • The family income of these students must not be more than 250000 lakh per annum (income certificate will be required).
    Scholarship for disabled students

    Post-Matric Scholarships by Department of Empowerment of persons with Disabilities Scholarships 2018

    Class level – Class 11th to post graduate diploma/degree course  

    Last date – October 31, 2018

    Eligibility – Students studying in Class 11th and above of a government or private higher secondary school/college/university, including such residential institutes of the Government and private institutes recognised by state/UT/central government.

    • Students with more than 40% disability and having a valid certificate of disability are eligible for post-matric scholarships for students with disabilities.
    • Not more than one child of same parents can avail for this scholarship, unless both children are twins and disabled.  
    • The family income of these students must not be more than 250000 lakh per annum (income certificate will be required).

    Class level – For graduate and postgraduate degree level  

    Last date – October 31, 2018

    Eligibility – Students studying at graduate and postgraduate degree level at notified institutes of excellence in education as recognised by Department of Empowerment of persons with Disabilities.

    • Students with more than 40% disability and having a valid certificate of disability are eligible for top level education scholarships for students with disabilities.
    • Not more than one child of same parents can avail for this scholarship, unless both children are twins and disabled.  
    • The family income of these students must not be more than 6lakh per annum (income certificate will be required).
