Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad (SEAMO) to be held in August

Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad (SEAMO), which is an international mathematical Olympiad will be held for the first time in India in August and will provide Indian students with an opportunity to test their mathematics aptitude and compete with students from other countries.

Students of classes V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI and XII are eligible for the Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad (SEAMO) which will be conducted for the first time in India on August 6.

Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad (SEAMO) has a presence in 11 countries such as Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Jakarta, Brunei, Timor-Leste, and Philippines. SEAMO will provide Indian students with an opportunity to test their mathematics aptitude and compete with students from other countries.

Duration of the exam will be 2 hours and will include multiple choice questions (MCQs).

Top 0.025% participating students will win a gold plated medal and a certificate of participation, next 1% will get a silver plated medal and a certificate of participation and the next 2% will get a bronze plated medal and a certificate of participation. All remaining participants will be presented with a certificate of participation.

Registration fee for classes V to IX students is Rs 1,150 (including service tax) and for classes X, XI, and XII is Rs 1,300 (including service tax).
