Specific norms amended in Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA)

The Ministry of Human Resource Development has got approval from the Cabinet Committee on the proposal of the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA).

The Ministry of Human Resource Development has got approval from the Cabinet Committee on the proposal of the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA). As per this proposal, construction will be allowed union territories and states to enhance the capacity of the current institutions and schools also facilitate them to build new schools.

 Supporting for enhancing the quality of the education is one of the objectives of this scheme. Moreover, after implementation of SSoR/CPWD rate UTs and States can execute the development work without any hindrance. For better planning, monitoring etc., adequate manpower is required which can be availed through improving MMER.

Since this scheme is implemented, the RMSA has been enhancing the possibility of getting admission to secondary schools as 9,636 new schools were constructed and amendments were made in 34,300 government schools.
