The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), Pune has declared SSC result for the exams conducted from 3rd March to 27th March 2014. In comparison to last year's 14, 99,276, a total of 17,28,368 students had appeared the Maharashtra SSC Exams 2014. The examination held at different centers across Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amaravati, Nasik, Latur and Konkan. The exams were held in two shifts in a day: 11:00 AM to 02:00 PM and 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM.
To check their results, SSC Maharashtra Board students can go it its official website http://www.mahahsscboard.in/. The students can see the 'Latest Notifications' Box in which the link to the SSC or Class 10th Maharashtra Board Result 2014 can be seen flashing.
On March 3, the students appeared for first language paper which was made compulsory by the board. The students had many options for selecting any one language. The choices were as follows: Marathi (code: 01), Hindi (code:02) , Urdu (code:04), Gujarati (code:05), Kannada (code:06), Tamil (code:07), Telugu (code:08), Malayalam (code:09), Sindhi (code:10), Bengali(code:11), Punjabi (code:12). During the same day but in the second shift, students appeared for the third language exam.
The exams were concluded on March 27. In the second shift, Class 10th students sat for Basic Technology Paper – II (V1), Elements of Mechanical Engineering Paper – II (V2) and Elements of Electrical & Electronics Technology Paper – II (V3).
Like 2013, the teachers and students are expecting good results this year as well. Last year, the district wise pass percentage was: Konkan - 93.79; Kolhapur - 90.36; Mumbai - 88.92; Pune - 88.25; Nashik - 83.86; Aurangabad - 81.18; Amravati - 74.60; Nagpur - 73.99; and Lathur - 73.75.
The Maharashtra Board was set up in 1965 and since then has been conducting exams for Class 10th and Class 10thII across the government-run schools in the state.
