SSC - Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’ Examination 2013: Selection Procedure

    Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is going to conduct a Combined All India Open Examination for recruitment to the posts of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’ for which the minimum required qualification is intermediate/12th pass or equivalent. The Examination will comprise a Written Objective Type Examination followed by Skill Test in Stenography at 100 w.p.m. and 80 w.p.m for Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’, respectively.

    Interested candidates can apply through both the Online and Offline modes of the application submission before 26 October 2013. The candidates, who prefer to go for online mode, are advised to apply early to avoid last days rush.

    Mode of Selection

    Candidates will be shortlisted for the skill test on the basis of their performance in the Written Examination. In broader terms, the candidates who will qualify the Written Exam, scheduled to be conducted on 29 December 2013, will be called for a skill test subjected to check candidates’ skills in stenography.

    Further, the candidates who qualify in the skill test will be recommended for appointment by the Commission on the basis of their performance in the Written Examination, followed by their merit position and their preferred option for various posts and departments.
