Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Jr. Assistant Trainee
- Graduation (full time degree course) in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks (45% for SC/ ST/ PWD Candidates)
- Diploma in Computer Application of minimum 1 year duration with proficiency in MS Office Package.
- Minimum Typing speed of 40 w.p.m. in English on PC.
Translator
- Masters Degree in Hindi or English with 60% marks with English or Hindi respectively as a compulsory or elective subject or as a medium of examination at degree level OR Masters Degree in any subject with English or Hindi medium with 60% marks and Hindi and English respectively as compulsory or elective subject or as a medium of examination at degree level
- One year Diploma/ certificate course in translation from English to Hindi and vice-versa from an institute recognized by Govt of India OR Minimum two years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice-versa.
Age Limit (Maximum 1 September 2011): Minimum 18 years; Maximum 28 years
Pay Scale: Rs 9160-3%-13150 (S-3) (for both posts)
Stipend
- Jr. Assistant Trainee: During the training period of two years, a consolidated stipend of Rs 8,250 per training period month will be paid during 1st year and Rs 9,350 per month during 2nd year. On successful completion of training period, they will be absorbed in regular grade.
Application Fee: Application fee for General and OBC category candidate is Rs 250 and fee for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates is Rs 50. Candidate will be required to pau an additional Rs 20 as Bank Charges to the collection branch of SBI in addition to the applicable fee. Payment is to be made in CASH only.
State Bank of India has been authorized to collect the examination fee/ processing charges in a specially opened account (No. 32036360352) in SBI, CAG Branch, Kolkata, on behalf of SAIL. Candidate has to approach the nearby State Bank of India branch with a printout of the "pay-in-slip" which is available on the Application Registration Portal. On receipt of the money the concerned branch of SBI will issue a unique Journal Number and a Branch Code of the branch collecting the money which are to be filled up by the candidate during online registration.
