Bharathiar University on 8 February 2013 announced Result for TNSET 2012 (Tamil Nadu State Eligibility Test). The test was conducted on 7 October 2012 in 27 subjects for recruitment as Assistant Professors/ Lecturers in various Universities/ Degree Colleges/ Institutions of Higher Education in Tamil Nadu.
Tamil Nadu State Eligibility Test (TNSET 2012) was conducted at 10 centres for a total of 27 subjects including Arts, Social Sciences, Science, Education and Commerce subjects. The minimum qualification to take this test was Master’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ ST/ PH/ VH) (without rounding off) from recognised universities/ institutions.
Established in February 1982 by Government of Tamil Nadu, Bharathiar University was named after the great national poet Subramania Bharathi and received recognition from University Grants Commission (UGC) in May 1985. It is also one of the 77 coordinating University with Code 9 for UGC NET examination.
