Anna University will continue conducting TANCET MBA entrance exam for admission to MBA courses. There will not be any separate entrance test i.e. AUCET exam for admisison to the MBA programme which earlier had been in news for admission to PG courses. As per the official report, Anna University released the news after the decision was taken followed by issuing a fresh order on April 29 changing the co-ordination committee for Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET). As per the new order, the director of technical education will just be a member instead of a co-chairman and Anna University Vice-Chancellor will be the chairman for the committee.
On Sunday, the university announced that students willing to appear for the MBA course will have to appear for a separate entrance test i.e. AUCET. AUCET, known as Anna University Common Entrance Test, whose idea was planned as a university level MBA entrance exam and a gateway to departments, regional colleges of Anna University, has not been given any shape.
After this announcement, the date for MBA entrance exam has also been released. TANCET 2019 will be conducted on June 22 in the afternoon session. Interested and eligible candidates can get registered for MBA admission into Anna University from May 8, 2019 onwards. The application process will be entirely functional in online mode only, as the university has scrapped offline application procedure for registrations. The deadline to get registered for the TANCET exam is May 25, 2019. Candidates should visit the official website of Anna University to fill the application form for the MBA course.

TANCET Eligibility Criteria
Candidates appearing for TANCET 2019 must hold Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration and at least 50 per cent overall percentage at the graduate level. Candidates appearing in the final year of the graduation course are also eligible to appear for TANCET MBA entrance exam.
