T.A.Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), Manipal has decided to stop conducting Group Discussions (GD) for further selections for MBA and PGDM admissions 2015. The final selection process will be started from 20th February 2015. It will continue till 22nd March 2015.
Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT) will remain the main components to the final stage of admission at TAPMI, Manipal instead of Group Discussion (GD). TAPMI, Manipal is not the first institute to take this decision. Previously FMS, New Delhi decided to discontinue with GD. They will be conducting Extempore for the selection. This year even IIMs have taken a call to follow WAT and PI process instead of GD.
Admissions are being conducted for PGDM, PGDM-Health Care Management (HCM) and PGDM-Banking and Financial Services (BKFS) at T.A.Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), Manipal. TAPMI proposes to begin the final admission round on 20th February 2015 at Mumbai.
Besides high scores in CAT/XAT/GMAT TAPMI will be using the profile-based short-listing for PI & WAT, which means that due weightage would be assigned to components like Academic record/ Professional qualifications/Work-experience. Cut off for CAT 2014 and XAT 2015 scores at TAPMI in shortlisting the candidates has stood around 80 percentile.
Fee structure for PGDM and PGDM (BKFS) Programmes: The current academic fee for two years payable by students admitted for the PGDM Programmes is Rs. 13.5 lakhs including Hostel fees and excluding monthly food bill approx. Rs.3500/- .
Fee structure for PGDM - Healthcare Management: The current academic fee for two years payable by students admitted for the PGDM - Healthcare Programme is Rs. 9.5 lakhs including Hostel fees and excluding monthly food bill approx. Rs.3500/- .
