    Tata Institute of Fundamental Research under National Centre of the Government of India for Nuclear Science & Mathematics, Mumbai issued notification for recruitment to 5 posts for the “India-Based Neutrino Observatory (INO)” Project.  Interested candidates should send their applications within 15 days from the date of publication of this advertisement, i.e. till 17 August 2013.

    BE / B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent + 1- 2 years experience in design and fabrication of large mechanical structures.

    Project Engineer (C) [Electrical]

    BE / B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent + 1 - 2 years experience in designing, fabricating large electrical systems.

    Project Scientific Officer (C)

    Rs. 41500 pm (including HRA of Rs. 5600)

    BE / B. Tech. in Electronics / Instrumentation or equivalent + 1 - 2 years experience in designing and debugging of analog, digital and VLSI circuits

    Project Scientific Assistant (B)

    Rs. 26000 pm (including HRA of Rs. 3600)

    SSC / HSC + Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent + Knowledge of use of personal computers and its applications + 0 - 2 years experience in project execution work in the field of civil structures & related services + experience in Tunneling + well conversant with quality control methods, planning and quantity survey.

    Age Limit: (as on 1 July 2013)

    Below 28 years

    Selection Procedure: Selection will be done on the basis of candidate’s performance in the Interview.

    Selected candidates except for the post of Project Engineer (C) - Mechanical will be posted at the INO Project sites located near Madurai, Tamilnadu. However, they will be required to work for long periods of time at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research / Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai.

    Candidate selected for the post of Project Engineer (C) - Mechanical will be posted at the Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre, Kolkata. However, he / she will be required to work for long periods of time at the INO Project sites located near Madurai, Tamilnadu.

    Travel Allowance: Outstation candidates called for Interview will be paid single Second Class return train fare for the journey on production of tickets.
