UGC NET 2023: Big Update for the Students who are planning to take NTA UGC Exam 2023 as Union Grants Commission (UGC) is going to start the registrations for National Eligibility Test (NET) today, on 29 December 2022. Interested and eligible candidates can submit NTA UGC Application Form before the last date which is 17 January 2023, once the link is available. The registration will be done on the official website of UGC i.e. ugcnet.nta.nic.in
Students who successfully submit their application then will be required to appear for the UGC NET Exam 2023. According to the latest update, UGC NTA Exam 2023 will be conducted from 21 February to 10 March. The exam will be held at various centres across India.
Union Grants Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) Dates have been confirmed by the UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar on his official Twitter account on 29 December 2023. According to Mr Kumar, “The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct UGC-NET December 2022 for ‘Junior Research Fellowship’ and eligibility for ‘Assistant Professor’ in 83 subjects in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.”

Announcement on UGC-NET December 2022:
NTA has been entrusted by UGC for conducting UGC-NET, which is a test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for ‘Assistant Professor’ and ‘JRF and Assistant Professor’ in Indian universities and colleges.

UGC NET 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- For General - The candidate should be a post-graduate with 55% marks in aggregate
- For ST/ SC/ OBC/ PWD/ Transgender - The candidate should be a post-graduate with 50% marks in aggregate
Candidate who is waiting for their PG Final Year result or going to be appeared in the exam are eligible.
Age Limit:
- Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) - 31 years
- Assistant Professor - No upper age limit
UGC NET 2023 Exam Pattern
There will be two papers. The questions in the paper are Multiple-Choice Based. The candidates can check the exam details below:

UGC NET Admit Card 2023
The admit card will be uploaded on the NTA website ugcnet.nta.nic.in. UGC is expected to release the admit card in the first or second week of February 2023.
UGC NET Result 2023
NTA will upload the marks of the participants on its website. As per the UGC policy, 6 % of those candidates who appear in both the papers and obtain minimum qualifying marks in aggregate of
both the papers will be declared NET qualified.
How to Apply for UGC NET 2023 ?
The candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps in order to apply for the exam.
- Go to the website of the NTA UGC
- Apply for Online Registration using your own Email Id and Mobile No.
- Fill in the Online Application Form and note down the system-generated Application Number.
- Upload scanned images of a recent photograph (file size 10Kb – 200Kb) either in colour or black & white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against white background;candidate’s signature (file
size: 4kb - 30kb) - Pay fee using SBI/CANARA/ICICI/HDFC Bank/ Debit Card/Credit Card/UPI and
keep proof of fee paid.
The candidates will be provided with the notification and online registration link, once the link is available on the UGC website.
