UGC will soon start an integrated University Management System to bring all central varsities under the same platform. This move aims at a transparent and efficient functioning of the government.
Central Universities will now be under a single and centralised e-governance platform. Apart from governance, the plan will also ease the administrative procedures of varsities like admission process and handling student grievances.
A three panel member consisting of VCs of Central Universities of Kashmir, Haryana and Bihar has been set up to implement the decision.
Referring the e-governance system adopted by Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, University of Goa, NDRI Karnal and 30 other universities UGC official hinted at the enhanced administration process. This e-governance system was developed by a private vendor.
The panel will also look for ways to enable wi-fi in every Central Universities.
