The state capital of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow has been chosen to be the home of the country's first Student Support Centre that will be outfitted with state-of-the-art facilities to assist pupils in professional education. Apart from this, UP will also has the honor of having a world class Teacher Training Institute that will help upgrading the teaching aptitudes in teachers. With these educational bodies, UP is expected to emerge as the next education hub of India, said Jitin Prasada, the Union minister of state for Human Resource Development.
The student support centre will help students and parents to get information and advices about everything related to professional education. For example, a class IX-X student can get expert advice on which stream he/she should go with in higher classes while class XI-XII students can have the information about the best colleges in India and abroad, what courses are available, what kind of jobs they will get once they obtain their degree, etc. The centre will act more as a career counseling and guidance cell.
