The Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) has modified the pattern of answering queries in its exam as now candidates will receive question paper-cum-answer book. According to the instructions, the candidates have to write the answers in the prescribed area given after every question. And the information provided outside the area will not be evaluated according to another instruction.
Gopala Krishna, Director of BrainTree Institute that provide training for the UPSC exams, said that the pattern is beneficial for the candidates having technical background as point-wise presentation is included in their style of answering the questions.
He added, “It looks as if UPSC has adopted the USA model that considered the short answer type of questions in its recruitment. It will help technical candidates more specially who have not refine English due to their choice of subject in graduation.”
This does not mean that candidates will not take the question paper with them as after the examination finished, the UPSC will provides copy of the question paper to take with them.
