UPSC Civil Services Final Result 2018: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Final Result of the Civil Services Examination 2018 on 05 April 2019 at its official portal upsc.gov.in. The candidates who appeared for the UPSC Personality Test 2019 can check their Roll Number from the List of Recommended Candidates available at the official portal of the Commission.
As per the UPSC Civil Services Final Result 2018 Notification issued, a total of 759 candidates have been recommended for appointment, out of which 361 candidates belongs to the General Category. While, 209 candidates from OBC, 128 candidates from SC and 61 candidates from ST categories have been selected in UPSC Civil Services Examination 2018 finally.
The UPSC Personality Test of the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2018 was conducted during the months of February and March 2019 in two sessions i.e. Morning Shift from 09:00 AM and Afternoon Shift from 01:00 PM.
UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam 2018 was conducted from 28 September to 7 October 2018 and based on which the Commission had selected a total of 1994 candidates for the Personality Test.
The final result has been prepared on the basis of marks obtained in mains exam and personality test. On the basis of final result, candidates will be appointed to Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’.
UPSC Civil Services Result: See Cadre wise Numbers of Selected Candidates
Along with releasing the Civil Services Exam 2017 Final Result, USPC also released the cadre wise number of selected candidates throguh the exam. Total 180 candidates were recommended in IAS cadre, while 565 for Central Services Group 'A'.
Earlier, UPSC has declared the Civil Services Exam 2017 Final Result at the official portal upsconline.nic.in on 27 April 2018 evening. Candidates appeared the exam can check their results through the official portal.
As per the Civil Services Exam 2017 Final Result, a total of 990 candidates have been recommended for appointment. Anudeep Durishetty, a candidate from Hyderabad, stood the first in the Civil Services Examination, 2017.
The main examination was held on 28 October 2017. The examination was conducted to recruit 980 posts of Indian nationals in Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and Central Services (Group A and Group B) and various other government departments. Out of 980 posts, 54 posts are reserved for reserved categories. The IAS PRE (CSAT) Exam was held on 18 June 2017.
The selection of the candidates is to be made on the basis of UPSC Civil Services IAS Preliminary Exam, UPSC Civil Services IAS Main Exam and Interview conducted by the commission.
The candidates who will qualify the examination will be appointed by the commission in any of the prestigious wing of the nation.
Last year, Civil Engineering graduate from M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore, Nandini K R topped the UPSC Civil Services examination. A total of 1099 candidates where recruited in different government departments under various posts.
This year, Civil Services Exam will be held on 03 June 2018. The official notification was released on 07 February 2018 and the last date to apply for this major examination was 06 March 2018. A general candidate can attempt 06 times, while other backward classes can appear for 09 times and SC/St can get this facility till they reach the upper age limit.
