A young lad from Jammu and Kashmir valley, Suhail Qasim Mir has secured 125th Rank in Civil Services Exam 2016 (CSE 2016) and he has become a source of inspiration for the youths of the same valley and other parts of the country as well. He belongs to a humble family from Bijbehara’s Sirhama Village in the Anantnag district of south Jammu and Kashmir and his father Mohammad Qasim Mir is a head constable posted at Hazratbal in Jammu and Kashmir Police services and his mother is a homemaker. Twenty-six year old Suhail Qasim Mir has cleared this coveted IAS exam in his 2nd attempt.
Suhail graduated from the government degree college in Bemina in Srinagar before moving to Delhi in 2012 for management studies and completed MBA in 2014 from Jamia Millia Islamia University. He has also enrolled in the Ph.D course from the same Jamia Millia Islamia University while preparing for IAS Exam.
In this video, he has shared his strategy for General Studies Paper 1- History, Culture, Geography and Social Issues. According to him, it is a static paper, but there are few current topics also asked. He prescribed IAS aspirants to go through the good textbooks in terms of analysis available in the market.
