UPSC Job Notification:

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invited applications for 22 Chemical Examiners and other posts. The eligible candidates can apply online to the post through the prescribed format latest by 14 January 2016.

  • Junior Scientific Officers (Physics) (Ministry of Home Affairs) – 02 Posts
  • Junior Scientific Officers (Toxicology) (Ministry of Home Affairs) – 01 Posts
  • Joint Director (Ministry of HRD) – 01 Post

Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Chemical Examiners & Other Jobs:

Educational Qualification & Experience:

  • Assistant Editor (Ministry of Agriculture): M.Sc. in Agriculture or Agricultural Extension from a recognized University or Institute. (B) Experience: Two years experience of writing or editing or compiling articles in English on topics related to Agriculture or in Audio-visual presentations or exhibitions in English on topics related to Agriculture.
  • Associate Professor (NDA, Khadakwasla): Good academic record with a Ph. D degree in Arabic. (ii) A Master’s Degree in Arabic with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed. (iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses and technology mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students. (iv) A minimum score of 300 points as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) by the University Grants Commission.
  • Chemical Examiners (Central Revenues Control Laboratory) – Master’s Degree in Chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent*. Note: *There is no equivalent qualification for Master’s degree in Chemistry. (B) Experience: Three years experience in Chemical analysis of different commodities/ Research in Analytical/ Organic/ Inorganic Chemistry.
  • Specialists Assistant Professor (Neonataology) (Ministry of Health)- (i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification (ii) Post- Graduate degree in the concerned specialty or Superspeciality i.e. Doctorate of Medicine (Neonatology); or Doctor of Medicine (Paediatrics) with two years special training in Neonatology. (B) Experience:  At least three years’ teaching experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar in the concerned Specialty or Super-speciality in a recognized teaching institution after obtaining the first Post graduate degree.
  • Junior Scientific Officers (Physics) (Ministry of Home Affairs) – Master’s Degree in Physics/Biophysics/ Forensic Science with Physics as one of the subjects at Bachelor of Science level from a recognized University or equivalent.(B) Experience: Two years experience of Analytical method and research in the field of Physics.
  • Junior Scientific Officers (Toxicology) (Ministry of Home Affairs) – Master’s Degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Pharmacology/ Pharmacy / Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects at Bachelor of Science level from a recognized university or equivalent. (B) Experience: Two years experience of Analytical method and research in the field of Toxicology.
  • Joint Director (Ministry of HRD) – (i) Master’s Degree in any subject from recognized University or Institute. (ii) Degree or Diploma in Education or Adult Education or Sociology or Psychology or Statistics from a recognized University or Institute.  (B) Experience: Seven years’ experience in conducing research or evaluation of adult education or production of literacy materials or books or teaching in adult or social education or rural development in the education department of a Central/State or Government or in any university or autonomous or statutory organization.
  • Assistant Director (Ministry of Textiles) – Degree of a recognized University or equivalent. (B) EXPERIENCE: Five years’ experience in a responsible capacity of work connected with Handloom or Textile Industry or Commerce or Industry in general together with Secretariat/Organizational Administrative experience.
  • Pathologist (Govt. of Delhi) – (i) A recognized Medical Qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (Other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma in the concerned speciality recognized by the Medical Council of India or equivalent. (B) Experience: Two years’ work in a responsible position connected with the speciality in the case of post graduate degree holders and four years’ work in a responsible position connected with the speciality in the case of Post Graduate diploma holders.

Age Limit (Upper Age Limit):

  • Assistant Editor (Ministry of Agriculture): 30 Years
  • Associate Professor (NDA, Khadakwasla): 45 Years
  • Chemical Examiners (Central Revenues Control Laboratory) – 35 Years
  • Specialists Assistant Professor (Neonataology) (Ministry of Health)- 40 Years
  • Junior Scientific Officers (Physics) (Ministry of Home Affairs) – 30 Years
  • Junior Scientific Officers (Toxicology) (Ministry of Home Affairs) – 30 Years
  • Joint Director (Ministry of HRD) – 50 Years
  • Assistant Director (Ministry of Textiles) – 35 Years
  • Pathologist (Govt. of Delhi) – 35 Years
  • Relaxations: Relaxation in Upper Age Limit for SC/ST/OBC as per Govt. of India rules.
