Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) is considering to conduct the UP State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) 2014 in other surrounding states as well, in order to see more participation from candidates. The relevant proposal at present has been sent to the state government to get the green signal.
The increase in participants from other neighboring states for the UPSEE 2014 exam will bring an upward rise in the numbers as well as instill diversity of cultures in the UP technical colleges.
UPSEE 2014 is scheduled to be held in the third week of April 2014.
State entrance exam will be an objective type test which will be taken for 12 papers.
The mode of examination for B. Tech course will be an offline written type test, while the entrance for admissions to MBA & MCA will be held online.
The candidates who wish to appear for the exam can apply in both offline and online procedure.
If the proposal is approved by the state government then the JEE (mains) for B Tech and CMAT for MBA that allows for 20 per cent admissions, will not be valid.
The introduction of biometric attendance will be seen in 2014 SEE exam, to discourage the impersonation of examinees since last year observed numerous impersonation cases. No negative marking is to be set while assessing the entrance exam.
UPSEE is an entrance exam to determine eligible candidates for admissions in government, government-aided and private colleges which are affiliated to UPTU.
