Question: I am interested in joining B. Tech. at VIT. When can I apply?
Answer: The application forms for VITEEE-2014 will be available from 4th December 2013.
Question: What is the cost of the application form?
Answer: OMR application cost: INR 990/-.
Online application cost: INR 940/-.
Question: Do we need to send the online application form after filling it online?
Answer: Yes, it is mandatory that the candidate should send the hard copy of the application form (Net banking/credit card/debit card) filled through online.
Question: I am a NRI, for how much amount should I take the Demand Draft for applying through online?
Answer: NRI candidates should take the demand draft for 50 USD and enclose along with the online application form. The link is available in VIT website.
Question: I have filled the choice of campus as Chennai campus, But now I want to change it to Vellore campus. What should I do?
Answer: Campus will be confirmed at the time of counseling only.
Question: When is the VITEEE-2015 Entrance Examination?
Answer: VIT Entrance examination (VITEEE-2014) is scheduled from April 8th to April 19th, 2015 in selected cities all over India and abroad.
Question: What is the duration of VITEEE-2015?
Answer: The examination will be for duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes (150 minutes).
Question: I scored very high in the qualifying examination. Will this be taken into consideration for my admission into VIT or will this be considered on par with my marks scored in VITEEE for admission?
Answer: Your admission into B.Tech will be based purely on your rank in VITEEE -2015.
Question: I have secured 60% marks over all aggregate marks in the qualifying examination, but I have not secured 60% marks aggregate in PCM/PCB, am I eligible for VITEEE?
Answer: The candidates with 60% marks aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology are alone eligible to apply for VITEEE.
Question: In how many cities will VITEEE be conducted?
Answer: The examination will be conducted in 112 test cities.
Question: What are the test cities in abroad countries?
Answer: Test cities in abroad are Dubai and Kuwait.
Question: When and how will the e-admit card be generated?
- The e-admit card will be generated once the candidate has booked his/her schedule through the online test booking system.
- The e-admit card will be auto generated for only those candidates who book a slot using the online test booking system before the last date.
- The e-admit card will be made available for candidates on www.vit.ac.in. Candidate should provide the application form number and online test booking password to download the e-admit card.
- The copy of the e-admit card will also be emailed to the candidate.
- Candidates must provide valid email ID in the application form. The e-admit card will not be dispatched to candidates
Question: When and how will the mock test be available on the website?
Answer: A mock test will be made available to the candidates on the website www.vit.ac.in. This is mainly designed to provide the candidates a feel of the test flow and its different components. The mock test will give the candidate an idea of all the features of the entrance test. The mock test will be in the form of flash file that can be downloaded to the system and candidate can go through the entire flash file of the demo/mock test multiple times.
Question: On what basis will the rank list be prepared?
Answer: The rank list will be prepared purely based on the marks scored by the candidates in VITEEE.
Question: When will be the VITEEE results declared?
Answer: The result will be declared on April 30th, 2015.
