Established in 1975 in Pondicherry, Vector Control Research Centre is one of the permanent institutes of Indian Council of Medical Research. It announced recruitment to the posts of JRF for a DCT sponsored Project Entitled “Development of electrochemical based biosensor for detection of lymphatic filarial parasite Wuchereris bancrofti in vectors” for a period of one year and will be extended upto two years depending upon his/her performance and availability of funds” through walk –in interview.

Educational Qualification: Masters Degree in Animal Science/Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology with NET qualified (or) Graduate degree in professional courses and GATE or equivalent qualification.
Age Limit: Applicants should not be above 28 years (as on 28 January 2013) which is relaxable for Government employees and candidates belonging to SC/ST/ OBC/ Women/ PH category.
Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the walk-in interview conducted by the institute on the specified date and time at the prescribed venue.
Fellowship Amount: NET qualified Rs 16,000 per month + HRA admissible
