The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) is all set to announce the result of Class 12 Examination on 4 June 2012 at around 11 am. Popularly known as WB HS Examination or Uchyaa Madhyamik Exams, the results for the same are to be put live on the official site; students can also find their results on their email ids and through sms.
The West Bengal Higher Secondary Examinations are conducted annually and simultaneously all over the state of West Bengal and also in affiliates of the board located outside West Bengal, elsewhere in India. The WBCHSE generally declare results for the Class 12 Examination in the month of June every year.
Last year in 2011, the pass percentage was 76.54 and a drop of 4.24 per cent over 2010 figure was recorded. It was the first time since 1997- when 4.47 per cent less students had passed than those in 1996- that the HS pass percentage has dropped so sharply in last 14 years.
The results will decide the fate of the students for getting admission to the Colleges/ Institution of their choice.
The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education is a Government body responsible for the administration of the education system in the 10+2 standard. The council has its main office at Salt Lake, Bidhannagar, Korunamoyee and Kolkata along with 4 other regional offices. The council had laid down certain objectives and the execution is carried in an organized structure.
The Government of West Bengal has established the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE), under West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education, Act 1975.
