The Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur has refused to provide the answer key to Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2014 to the candidates. XAT 2014 was held on 05 January 2014 and the results of which were officially released on 20 January 2014.
XAT 2014 result has errors as claimed by numerous candidates. Many test-takers strongly believe that XAT 2014 results have discrepancies.
The candidates have supposed that SET-D was assessed inaccurately, and the same is assumed for SET-C by many candidates. The candidates complaining for the same had also asked for their answer-sheets to be re-evaluated.
On the contrary, the officials of XLRI, Jamshedpur clarified that answer sheets had been checked twice before announcing the results to maintain accuracy. Officials added that upon hearing complaints from candidates, a re-evaluation took place and revealed no errors in the sheets, hence the XAT 2014 results will be ruled out.
Later, the candidates requested the authorities to release the answer keys, to which the authorities refused as XLRI institute does not have the policy to provide answer keys. Moreover, the institute is assured about the correct display of results and hence will not release answer keys.
The XAT does not go by Normalisation system as the Common Admission Test (CAT) does. Hence, the likelihood of candidates finding their scores to be drastically different from the estimated scores seemed low.
Last year for XAT 2013 results as well the similar discontent among some 3,000 XAT candidates was noticed.
This year, 4 candidates in total have managed to score a percentile of 99.99 per cent in XAT 2014.
