XLRI Summer Placements 2014: Excellent performance by XLRI students

    XLRI Summer Placements 2014 have been concluded with excellent performance by XLRI students yet again. The summer placements at XLRI for the year 2014 went on for three and half days and during this 105 companies participated. These companies gave 385 offers to 365 students. All of these are paid stipends and the highest offered stipend was Rs.1.5 lakh per month.

    Placement statistics at XLRI:

    • Highest stipend offered: Rs.1.5 lakh per month
    • Median stipend for the entire batch (BM & HR): Rs.55000 per month
    • Top recruiters on campus in terms of numbers: Altisource (12), Vodafone (10), HUL (9), ITC (9), Microsoft (9), ABG (8), Samsung R&D Institute (8) and Wipro (8)

    The flagship Business Management program witnessed the most diverse split of internship opportunities this year with the entire BM batch obtaining internship opportunities in 2.5 days. The role wise split is as follows: Sales and marketing at 47%, Finance at 26%, Consulting at 11%, General Management at 9% and the remaining 7% in Operations and Program Management.

    This year, there was a steep rise in international offers in internships. Companies like M.H AlShaya, ABG, Altisource, HUL, Kellogg’s, Nomura, Pepsi, Godrej and a European Hedge Fund among others opening up multiple international roles. Many more organizations are bound to get added to the list as they finalize their projects closer to the internship period.
