Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT) is a private, autonomous institution, established in 1984 under the auspices of Ramanandha Adigalar Foundation, a charitable educational trust of Sakthi Group. The institute is located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, accredited by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) with &lsquo;A++&rsquo; Grade and approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education). As per NIRF rankings 2023, it is placed in the 101-150 rank band.

KCT Coimbatore offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses. Admission to the courses is based on entrance examinations. Candidates must fulfil the Kumaraguru College of Technology admission criteria to be eligible for the courses. The institute has a Centre for Career Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Development (CEED) that handles and manages all the placements related activities. The placements are provided to the graduating students of the KCT Coimbatore through the on campus placement drives organised by the placement cell. It also provides training and skill development programmes like aptitude, vocabulary and personality development prior to Kumaraguru College of Technology placement drive. It has a campus size of 156 acres with a student and faculty count of 5830 and 346 respectively.
