Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture Technology and Science formerly known as Allahabad Agriculture Institute is a deemed university, established in 2000, located in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture Technology and Science, Allahabad offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses. Admission to the courses is done through entrance tests while for some courses, admission is done through direct interview. Candidates must fulfil the SHUATS admission criteria to be eligible for the courses. Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology, and Science has a separate department for Career Planning and Counselling (DCPC), which helps students achieve their goals. The placement cell assists final-year students for the placement process. The Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture Technology and Science placement team organises various training events such as mock interviews, group discussions, resume writing and personality development training. Workshops, guest lectures, seminars and industry visits are also offered by the placement cell. The university has a campus size of 900 acres with a student and faculty count of 10599 and 339, respectively.
