Burdwan University offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses. Admission to the courses is either merit or entrance-based. Candidates must fulfil the Burdwan University admission criteria to be eligible for the courses. Burdwan University has a dedicated placement cell that assists students in securing jobs. The cell conducts programmes to enhance students' soft skills and confidence. The University of Burdwan placement cell helps in developing the soft skills of the students through mock interviews, webinars, group discussions and seminars. Students are encouraged to take the initiative in securing vocational training opportunities. Apart from placements, students are also provided with several internship opportunities. Internships allow non-final year students to gain experience in industrial work culture and to ensure better outcome during the final placements.
