Ajay Jayaram won Dutch Open Grand Prix badminton tournament

Indian shuttler, Ajay Jayaram won the 50000 dollar Dutch Open Grand Prix badminton tournament on 12 October 2014. In the title clash played at the Topsportcentrum Almere in Netherlands, Jayaram defeated Indonesia’s Ihsan Maulana Mustofa 10-11, 11-6, 11-7, 1-11, 11-9.

This was maiden GP title for Jayaram and with this win, he also became the first Indian to win badminton Grand Prix tournament under the new 11x5 scoring system.

Earlier, Jayaram has won three overseas titles namely New Zealand Open (2009), Thailand Open (2010) and Czech Open (2013).
