Symphony Teleca Corp (STC) a U.S. based software service provider on 10 April 2014 made announcement about its acquisition of Aditi Technologies.  STC declared that the reason behind this acquisition is that the company is aimed at building its capabilities to deliver Systems of Engagement (SOE). These SOE are cusp of Cloud, Mobile and analytics technologies. Aditi Technologies specializes in cloud technologies and services whereas STC’s is strong in the areas of Mobile and Analytics. This acquisition is yet to be approved by Foreign Promotion Board.

SOE interlink front end Mobile software with back-end enterprise software. These are then connected with customers by using smart phones. On the other hand, Big data analytics in the back-end help in understanding behaviour of customers.

 The deal will facilitate STC in serving different customers such as, independent software vendors, enterprises and connected systems manufacturers. According to a Zinnov report, the SOE market is expected to grow to $111 billion in 2020 from $33 billion in 2013.

The combined employee strength is reported to be about 7,500 employees across 40 global offices across the Europe, Asia and North America and South America. Post acquisition, Aditi Technologies will function as a new division of STC. There will also be no changes at the leadership level and it will be led by Pradeep Rathinam. The STC is owned by Romesh Wadhwani.
