Bihar Election Result 2020: NDA wins majority and set to form government, RJD emerges as single-largest party
Bihar Election Result 2020: Tejashwi Yadav-led RJD emerged as the single-largest party in Bihar polls with 75 seats, followed by the BJP with 74 seats but the NDA alliance crossed majority mark with 125 seats.

Bihar Election Result 2020 Updates: The NDA alliance has won majority in Bihar Assembly Elections by winning 125 seats and is set to form government again in the state. Tejashwi Yadav-led RJD emerged as the single-largest party in the state with 75 seats, followed by the BJP with 74 seats.
Nitish Kumar-led JDU's result was anything but promising as the party could only manage to get 43 assembly constituencies. The Congress also failed to perform well in the state, as it could only manage to get 19 seats. The Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) (Liberation) surprisingly did extremely well by grabbing 12 seats in its first election.
Among other surprise performances, All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen picked up 5 seats. The party was fighting the Bihar polls independently. The Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) and the Vikassheel Insaan Party also picked up 4 seats each.
Among the other parties, CPI and CPI-M grabbed two seats each, BSP won 1 seat and Chirag Paswan's LJP also won just seat. An independent also won one seat.

Bihar Election Result 2020 Live Updates @9: 00 am: The neck-to-neck battle between the NDA and Mahagathbandhan in the Bihar Assembly Polls is now over with the NDA emerging as the clear winner and crossing the majority mark with 125 seats out of the total 243 assembly seats, while the Mahagathbandhan could only manage to get 110 seats.
The BJP-led NDA is set to form government in the state and JDU's NItish Kumar is likely to retain his post as the Chief Minister of the state despite JDU's underperformance in the polls.

Bihar Election Result 2020 Live Updates @1.25 pm: Over 4.10 crore votes were cast during Bihar Assembly Elections 2020 and 92 lakh votes have been counted so far, as per Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Bihar, HR Srinivas.
The Bihar CEO further stated that earlier there used to be 25-26 rounds of counting but this time it has gone up to around 35 rounds so the counting will continue till late evening. He explained saying that while in some of Assembly Constituencies (ACs) there are fewer polling stations and hence, counting will conclude in 24-25 rounds but there are other ACs where there will be 50-51 rounds. The Election Commission has issued specific guidelines for the vote counting process in the view of COVID-19. All counting centres will be disinfected before, during and after the counting of votes and social distancing and other safety protocols will need to be followed for each activity. All counting officials have to wear masks. Bihar is the first state to hold full-fledged elections amid coronavirus outbreak in India.

Besides the Bihar State Police, roughly around 59 companies of Central Para-Military Forces have been deployed at each booth to ensure smooth and trouble-free counting. Victory processions have been banned in the state and a prohibitory order has also been issued in an around counting centres.
Around 55 counting centres have been set up in 38 districts across the state and around 414 counting halls have been prepared. Only seven counting tables will be allowed in each hall to maintain social distancing.
