Chitra won World Women's Snooker title at Leeds

Chitra Magimairaj of India won the World Women’s Senior Snooker Championship on 22 April 2014 at Leeds, Britain. She played the final match against Alena Asmolava of Belarus.

In the semi-finals she defeated compatriot Umadevi Nagraj in the semi-finals. To win the championship she won all her four matches without dropping a single set against the snooker players from 13 countries.

Chitra, the former World Billiards champion, till date has bagged three gold, three silver and three bronze medals in World Ladies Billiards and Snooker Association (WLBSA) events. Earlier, she lost in the Snooker Championships in the WLBSA event.
