SC seeks ED response on Chidambaram's bail plea in INX Media money-laundering case
• The Supreme Court has sought a response from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on the bail plea (Bail Plea) of former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram in the INX Media case.
• The Supreme Court has asked the ED to file a reply on 26 November. Supreme Court to hear P Chidambaram's petition on November 26
• In the case filed by ED, INX Media PVT Limited had received a foreign investment of about Rs 403.07 crore against the approved FDI amount of Rs 4.62 crore.

RIL among top 6 oil production companies
• Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), the company of Asia's richest man Mukesh Ambani, has once again created new history.
• The company's market cap has crossed Rs 9.5 lakh crore. RIL industry has become the first company in India to reach this mark.
• According to the Bloomberg Billionaire Index, Mukesh Ambani's total wealth has increased to USD 56 billion due to the increase in shares. 

Sri Lanka’s newly elected President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to visit India
• Sri Lanka's newly elected President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has accepted PM Narendra Modi's invitation to visit India on 29 November.
• This will be his first foreign trip as President. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar met with Gotabaya in Colombo and tweeted this information.
• Experts believe that Sri Lanka's newly elected President Gotabaya Rajapaksa will maintain close ties with India.

President Kovind presents special Flag to Indian Naval Academy
• The President of India Ram Nath Kovind presented the flag to the Indian Naval Academy (INA). This flag is the highest honour any military unit can get.
• He said that this academy has gained a lot of fame in a relatively short period of time.
• The flag was awarded to the Navy on 27 May 1951, the first of the three armed forces.

Ice from Arctic Ocean may vanish by 2044: Study
• According to a study, due to human-caused climate change, the ice present in the Arctic Ocean will end from 2044 to 2067.
• Researchers at the University of California, Los Angeles, however, have said that as long as humans are on Earth, the Arctic region will remain ice.
• There is a decline of 13 per cent per decade in ice-sheet. This series has been going on since 1979.
