The Best Feature Film award (Drama) was given to '1917' while the Best Actor Award was given to Joaquin Phoenix for 'Joker'. The first Golden Globe Award was given in 1944. This time 77th edition of this award was held. 

2. (a) Renée Zellweger
The film 1917 won the’Best Picture-Drama’ award, Renée Zellweger won best actress for her role in ‘Judy’ and Joaquin Phoenix won the best actor at the 77th Golden Globe Awards. The Golden Globe Awards 2020 were conferred on January 5, 2020 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Succession, a British-American comedy-drama television series won the 2020 Golden Globe award in Best Television Series – Drama category. The series is created by Jesse Armstrong. 

4. (c) Karnataka
Former Karnataka Governor T N Chaturvedi passed away on January 6, 2020 at the age of 90 years. He had served as the Comptroller and Auditor General of India from 1984-1989. He was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 1991.

The Supreme Court on January 6, 2020 upheld the West Bengal Madrasa Service Commission Act, 2008. This paves the way for appointment of teachers in the madrassas in the state.

Former Prime Minister and Military General Umaro Cissoko has recently been elected as the President of Guinea-Bissau. He will replace José Mário Vaz. He won the presidential election with 53.55 percent of votes.
