Delhi Government launches faceless transport services- All you need to know
Under faceless transport services in Delhi, the 33 transport services will go completely faceless and online, except for the driving tests and fitness tests for the vehicles.

The Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal on August 11, 2021, launched the faceless transport services in the National Capital.
Under the initiative by the Kejriwal Government, the 33 transport services will go completely faceless and online, except for the driving tests and fitness tests for the vehicles.
During the launch, the CM of Delhi locked the doors of the IP Estate Regional Transport Office (RTO). He said that after the introduction of faceless transport services, the government of Delhi has shut down its four RTOs.
Apart from the IP Estate RTO, RTOs in Janakpuri, Sarai Kale Khan, and Vasant Vihar have also been closed. The Chief Minister of Delhi also termed the faceless transport services as a revolutionary step for 21st Century India.

Faceless Transport Services in Delhi: Key Details
The Department of Transport of the Delhi Government has issued a standard operating procedure (SOP) explaining how these faceless services can be availed. The SOPs will also mention the name of all the services.
Who will be able to use these services?
Any individual with an Aadhaar Card will be able to use the faceless transport services in Delhi. Know your Customer (KYC) can be completed through a One Time Password and documents and e-sign can be verified through Aadhaar authentication.
Those who do not have Aadhaar Card will also be able to apply online. But it will be necessary for them to upload the photos, signatures, and documents.
What will be the procedure for an e-learner license?
An e-learner license can be obtained through an online test. In the first phase of the application, the applications will be screened and documents will be verified and then they will be approved by the motor vehicle inspector or the motor licensing officers for further processing.
Transport services availed without visiting transport office:
The Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal said on the occasion that services in the different departments will also be soon made online and faceless as done with the Transport Department.
He added that it is a step towards India of 21st century and the use of technology. All the Transport-related services in Delhi can now be availed without visiting the Transport offices, taking leaves, or surrendering to the middlemen.
The Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot informed that the faceless Transport services have been launched after a rigorous trial of 5 months. While highlighting the success of the trials, the minister informed that the trials started from February 19 and in the last five months of the trials, more than 3 lakh requests were handled with a success rate of more than 80%.
