Democrat Ami Bera re-elected to the US House of Representatives

Democrat Ami Bera was on 20 November 2014 re-elected to the US House of Representatives in the United States House of Representatives elections 2014. He defeated his Republican rival Doug Ose by almost 1400 votes.

Bera got 92394 votes against Ose's 90962 votes. Ami Bera is the lone Indian-American lawmaker in the US Congress.

Ami Bera is an American physician who has been the US Representative for California's 7th congressional district that includes parts of Sacramento since 2013. He is a member of the Democratic Party.

He was elected to US Congress for the first time in United States House of Representatives elections in California, 2012.
