Dennis Lillee left Cricket Australia coaching post over pay hike

Australian Test great Dennis Lillee and mentor of Mitchell Johnson's quit his post at Cricket Australia after being refused a pay rise.

Dennis Lillee, the fast bowling mentor of Australian cricket team quit from his post at Cricket Australia on 8 May 2014 after being refused a pay rise.

He was roped in to provide guidance and coaching advice to the national side on a part-time basis in 2013. His role in the team was instrumental in rejuvenating the career of Mitchell Johnson. He also worked closely with Pat Cummins and James Faulkner.

Under his guidance, the team Australia succeeded in whitewashing England cricket team in Ashes Test series by 5-0. Apart from this the Australian team also defeated South Africa by 2-1. In these two matches Johnson spearheaded the Australian side.
